Abstract:Gossypiboma is a term used for the inflammatory reaction caused by material, usually textile material, forgotten inside the abdominal cavity after a surgical procedure. The present objective was to report the case of a dog diagnosed with aseptic intra-abdominal gossypiboma and evaluate computed tomography and histopathology as complementary tools for surgical planning and definitive diagnosis.
