Abstract: Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is a prototypic neoplasia in which malignant cells strongly depend on microenvironmental stimulations in the lymphoid tissues where they accumulate; leukemic cells are exposed to interaction with bystander and accessory cells, as well as inflammatory soluble mediators.
