Youth in the USAPI are significantly more likely to display smoking behaviors compared with youth in the United States nationally (Kessaram et al, 2015; Rosario et al, 2021). Guam is among one of the USAPIs, and approximately 8% of adolescent middle-school students (Grades 6–8) on the island had reported smoking cigarettes in the past month, compared with 2% of a representative and national sample of middle-school students in the United States.…”
