To Tattoo or not to Tattoo

Abstract: Tätowierungen sind ein häufig geschätzter, häufig verdammter Teil unseres kulturellen Erbes. In den letzten Jahrzehnten war ein erstaunliches Comeback zu beobachten. Tätowierungen wurden Mode und heute haben etwa 100 Millionen Europäer mindestens eine Tätowierung. Den meisten Trägern sind weder die damit verbundenen gesundheitlichen Risiken noch die teilweise bestehenden Mängel in der Ausbildung der Tätowierer, den hygienischen Arbeitsbedingungen und der Qualität der verwendeten Farben bewusst.
