“…Increases in IL-6 and TNF-α were also observed, particularly in the PCOS insulin resistance group (18). In addition, TNF-α can reduce the activity of lipoprotein lipase (30) and IL-6 increase the uptake of fatty acids to adipose tissue and to the liver, which in turn promotes hypertriglyceridemia (31). On the other hand, the reverse situation also appears to be true, since it was observed that insulin and obesity stimulates the gene expression of TNF-α and IL-6 in adipose tissue (32).…”

“…AS treatment alone also significantly down-regulated the expression of several lipolysis and lipid transport genes, such as CPT1A , PPARα , ACCb , ATGL , CD36 , FABP1 and LPL , indicating that AS not only reduced lipogenesis but also the action of lipolysis and lipid transport in yellow catfish. Similarly, several studies pointed out that the inhibition of FOXO1 also reduced the expression of LPL and CD36 [ 48 , 49 ]. Moreover, studies also suggested that FOXO1 bound with the ATGL promoter and increased ATGL expression in adipocytes [ 50 , 51 ].…”

“…Helicobacter pylori carries lipopolysaccharide and can upregulate certain cytokines in the host, such as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) [ 9 , 10 , 35 ]. Inhibition of lipoprotein lipase by cytokines, such as TNF-α, may mobilize lipids from the tissues [ 46 ], leading to low serum HDL-cholesterol levels [ 47 ]. Besides perturbing the lipid metabolism, H .…”
