“…In the present study, the highest frequency of roots (mean number of roots per shoots) was achieved in 1/2 MS, but with the increasing concentration of NAA in the medium, there is no improvement in rooting frequency of differentiated shoots from hairy roots-derived P. cablin calluses when NAA was added to the rooting medium. Reports have shown that when the T-DNA fragment or even a single rol gene of Ri plasmid of A. rhizogenes was integrated and expressed into the genome of plant cells, it not only resulted in changes of cell endogenous phytohormone levels (Juiliard et al 1993;Shi et al2000), but also influenced or enhanced the hormone sensitivity in plant cells (Nilsson et al1993). The changes in sensitivity and content of endogenous growth regulators in plant cells undoubtedly affected the response effect of plant cells to exogenous growth regulators.…”

“…ABA measurement was performed on dry seeds and 26-day-old plantlets as described in Julliard et al (1993). ABA extractions were performed at 4°C in darkness for 60 h from about 100 mg of tissue powder in 5 ml of 80% aqueous methanol supplemented with butylhydroxytoluene (40 mg l )1 ) as an antioxidant.…”

“…In order to simplify the notation, we refer to it as the ABA‐BSA concentration. The chemical stability of the conjugate was controlled by C18‐HPLC fractionation and ELISA ( Julliard et al . 1993 ).…”

“…In order to simplify the notation, we refer to it as the ABA-BSA concentration. The chemical stability of the conjugate was controlled by C18-HPLC fractionation and ELISA (Julliard et al, 1993). 3 HABA uptake Ten ml of the cell suspension were equilibrated at pH 5, 6, 7 or 8 as described above, and 10 -5 M ABA with 2 µCi 3 HABA was added.…”
