Abstract:Since the Call for Papers for the Special Issue on “Transnationalism and Genealogy” was announced last summer, all the manuscripts that were submitted, peer reviewed, and accepted have now been published. I would like to take this opportunity to offer my laconic assessment of the subfield of transnationalism and genealogy, situate the published articles of this Special Issue in the field, and point to directions for future research in this field.
