Titanosilicate (TS-1) Catalyzed Oxidation of Aromatic Aldehydes to Esters

Abstract: A facile conversion of aromatic aldehydes to esters using molecular sieves, TS-1, and 30% H 2 O 2 is described.

“…A literature survey also shows that only Mansouri group [27], had reported synthesis of Keggin type Cs salt of PW 11 Ni following the same procedure [16] with a modification. The modification includes the treatment of potassium salt of K 7 PW 11 .xH 2 O with an aqueous solution of M(NO) 3 , M =Ni and addition of cesium chloride under refluxing condition followed by filtration and washing with an ethanol/H 2 O (1/1) mixture and dried at 353 K.
