Tissue renin angiotensin system in IgA nephropathy

Abstract: The inhibition of angiotensin II (AngII) by use of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor or AngII receptor blocker is effective for prevention of the progression of renal diseases including IgA nephropathy (IgAN). AngII plays a variety of biological roles via AngII receptors.
