Time series cluster analysis reveals individual assignment of microbiota in captive tiger (Panthera tigris) and wildebeest (Connochaetes taurinus)

Abstract: Fecal microbiota variability and individuality are well studied in humans and also in farm animals (related to diet‐ or disease‐specific influences), but very little is known for exotic zoo‐housed animals. This includes a wide range of species that differ greatly in microbiota composition and variation.
