Abstract:We have successfully implemented a time-resolved small-angle light scattering apparatus with spatial averaging by means of conical lens or software processing. Averaging allows a signi®cant reduction of measurement times and makes this technique suitable for the study of systems with very long times-scales, from 25 Hz to many hours. We report light scattering experiments on the dissolution of polymer blends and light re¯ection measurement from polymer composites as examples of applications.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
