Associations have been noted between TPOAb positivity and miscarriage, preterm delivery, preterm premature rupture of membranes, placental abruption, foetal death, postpartum thyroiditis, postpartum thyroid dysfunction, neonatal hyperbilirubinaemia, sensorineural hearing loss, behavioural problems in children and impaired development in the offspring . However, at this time, there are only a few intervention trials evaluating the effect of levothyroxine treatment on obstetrical complication rates in pregnant women with euthyroid thyroiditis or subclinical hypothyroidism.…”
