Thyroid disorders in pregnancy

Abstract: Thyroid disease is the second most common endocrine disorder encountered in pregnant women with substantial maternal and fetal implications. Therefore, assessing thyroid status during pregnancy is essential for initiating treatment in newly diagnosed individuals and adjusting doses for those already under treatment.
