Abstract: BackgroundThe thyrohyoid membrane is located between the hyoid bone and thyroid cartilage. Transection of the thyrohyoid membrane can be fatal.Case presentationA 54-year-old man presented to the emergency room after attempting to commit suicide by cutting his neck.
