Abstract: Background Primary fibromyalgia is accepted as “central pain syndrome” without inflammation. But rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is characterized by peripheral (nociceptive) pain with marked inflammation. It is well-known that acute and chronic pain can impair the cognitive function.
