Abstract: BackgroundThromboangeitis obliterans (TOA) was described by Leo Buerguer in 1908. It is an occlusive vasculitis which is associated to licit habits such as smoking. Treatment consists of smoking cessation. Patients require ample support with pain medications and vasodilators.
