Three spheres inequalities and unique continuation for a three-dimensional Lamé system of elasticity with C^1 coefficients

Abstract

In this paper, a quantitative estimate of unique continuation is proved for a threedimensional Lamé system with C 1 coefficients in the form of three spheres inequalities. The property of the non faster than exponential vanishing of nonzero local solutions is also given as an application of the three spheres inequality.
