Three-Position Solenoid Valve for Pneumatic Systems of Trucks

Abstract

The three-position solenoid valve is intended for use in the pneumatic system of the vehicles for drive and controls the gearbox by a microprocessor-based car engine control system. Supply voltage of three-position solenoid valve is 24 V, and its power is 14 W. The main design feature of the three-position solenoid valve is the absence of the synthetic sealing materials. The sealing surfaces of the solenoid valve are a metal surface with the microrelief in the form of successively alternating annular projections and depressions which increases the actual contact area of these surfaces. Any rubber and plastic sealing elements are completely absent in the designed solenoid valve. This technical solution allows one to significantly improve key indicators of valve quality, such as integrity, reliability, and durability of the valve up to 10 7 or more cycles of operation. An additional advantage of this construction of the solenoid valve is low cost of its production.
