Three-Phase Harmonic Analysis Method for Unbalanced Distribution Systems

Abstract: Due to the unbalanced features of distribution systems, a three-phase harmonic analysis method is essential to accurately analyze the harmonic impact on distribution systems. Moreover, harmonic analysis is the basic tool for harmonic filter design and harmonic resonance mitigation; therefore, the computational performance should also be efficient. An accurate and efficient three-phase harmonic analysis method for unbalanced distribution systems is proposed in this paper. The variations of bus voltages, bus cur… Show more

“…is the shortened form of Load Rate and the same below. Then, three phase unbalanced loads may also exist in weak power grid structure area and may occur in temporary operation with fault, or during the process of power distribution networks reconfiguration in certain areas [26,27]. The acoustic radiation characteristics analysis of power transformers in these extreme situations are hence essential for operators to release timely information, and then to reduce complaints from neighboring residents.…”

“…There are also many techniques that can be used to perform harmonic analysis, such as demonstrated in [18][19][20]. The most typical method to analyze harmonic load flow is by using the current injection analysis method [21].…”

“…The second modification is the updating approach; a new updating approach able to check the forward or backward direction is proposed. The third modification is on the scale parameter; in LSA, it is based on exponential distribution, which will cause the step leader movement to be active at 20% of the early iterations as per (24). Thus, in MLSA, the Laplacian distribution equation is used to increase the movement of the step leader during 30% until 70% iterations.…”
