Abstract. The correlation between the triton binding energy E 3 and the n-d scattering length 2a and the zero energy singlet and triplet wound integral los and Iot is investigated, with phaseequivalent separable NN interactions obeying all the important off-shell constraints. It is found that the correlation between E 3 and 2a is stronger than between E3(Za) and los, lot separately. A strong correlation is also found between the percentage D-state in the deuteron Pa and 10t. Fixing all the other off-shell parameters but allowing variations of los and lo3 leads to surprisingly accurate linear relations between E3(2a) and los, lo3 (Pa). These relations depend strongly on the other off-shell parameters.
