Three‐Dimensional Porous CoFe2O4/Graphene Composite for Highly Stable Sodium‐Ion Batteries

Abstract: Sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) are promising alternatives to lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), because of the low cost and great potential in large-scale energy storage. Herein, we present a simple two-step hydrothermal route to construct a novel CoFe 2 O 4 /graphene composite. The composite is composed of nanoporous CoFe 2 O 4 hollow spheres that are well-anchored onto nitrogen-doped graphene sheets (CoFe 2 O 4 @3D-NG) with a unique 3D network structure, which can not only offer short pathways for Na + diffusion and… Show more

“…11,13,40,41 In the rst anodic scan process, two broad oxidation peaks that appeared at about 0.54 and 2.21 V can be ascribed to the extraction of K + and the related transformation of K x P to CoP. 11,13,34,[40][41][42][43] In the following scans, the CV curves reveal almost identical reduction and oxidation peaks, suggesting high reversibility of the electrode during the potassiation/depotassiation process. 11,13,34,[40][41][42][43] Fig.…”

“…The vanish of the peak at 1748cm -1 and the weakened intensity of C-H vibration at 2929 cm -1 indicate that the GO was successfully transformed into rGO after being treated at high temperature and high pressure, and the significant decrease of O-H deformation vibration intensity at 1638cm -1 also provides the evidence to this conclusion. 65,66 Also, TG analysis was carried out to study the samples under protection of nitrogen, the TG curves in Figure 2C present that both rGO and rGAA-2 show different degrees of weight loss before 100°C, which is attributed to the loss of residual water in the sample. Besides, the slight shifts of D (1344 cm -1 ) and G band (1587 cm -1 ) of rGAA compared with rGO (1349 and 1594 cm -1 ) in Figure 2B also prove the existence of interfacial interaction between AgBr and rGO.…”

“…Among various energy storage devices, lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs), characterized by the excellent energy density and long‐life utilization, have been widely applied in electric vehicles and intelligent equipment . However, the exposed safety issues in recent years and limited lithium reserves hinder the further application of LIBs in burgeoning energy devices . Hence, groping for rechargeable batteries that can make up for the disadvantages of LIBs is extremely forward‐looking.…”

“…[2,3] However, the exposed safety issues in recent years and limited lithium reserves hinder the further application of LIBs in burgeoning energy devices. [4] Hence, groping for rechargeable batteries that can make up for the disadvantages of LIBs is extremely forward-looking. Particularly, the aqueous zinc ion batteries (ZIBs) have grabbed great attention due to their cost advantage, high security and pollution-free property.…”
