Three-Dimensional Mixed Convection Flow of Viscoelastic Fluid with Thermal Radiation and Convective Conditions

Abstract: The objective of present research is to examine the thermal radiation effect in three-dimensional mixed convection flow of viscoelastic fluid. The boundary layer analysis has been discussed for flow by an exponentially stretching surface with convective conditions. The resulting partial differential equations are reduced into a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations using appropriate transformations. The series solutions are developed through a modern technique known as the homotopy analysis metho… Show more

“…These processes obtain high temperature, which the flow is subjected to the convective boundary condition. Therefore, a number of studies on boundary layer flows with a convective boundary condition, including mixed convection boundary layer flow [20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27] and a stretching sheet [28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35], have been reviewed since then. Motivated by the above researchers, the purpose of this research paper is to develop the system of MHD mixed convection heat transfer of an electrically conducting fluid over an exponentially stretching continuous surface with an exponential temperature distribution.…”

“…The subclass of differential type fluids have been studied in the past through few attempts. [1][2][3][4][5] However such attempts do not describe the stress relaxation effects. A subclass of rate type fluids namely Maxwell model predicts the relaxation time effects.…”

“…The analytical solutions are obtained by Hayat et al 12 for the mixed convection flow of a power-law fluid occupying the porous space past a wedge. Hayat et al 13 analyzed the thermal radiation effect in three-dimensional mixed convection flow of viscoelastic fluid while incorporating the convective boundary conditions. Mixed convection flow of MHD Jeffrey nanofluid over a radially stretching surface by employing the convective boundary conditions is studied by Ashraf et al 14 Energy is required for the deformation and flow of materials.…”
