Abstract:Magnetic reconnection processes in three-dimensional complex field configurations have been investigated in different magneto-plasma systems in space, laboratory, and astrophysical systems. Two-dimensional (2D) features of magnetic reconnection have been well developed and applied successfully to systems with symmetrical property, such as toroidal fusion plasmas and laboratory experiments with an axial symmetry. But in asymmetric systems, the three-dimensional (3D) features, which are inevitably different from… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
