Given the unprecedented phenomenon of population ageing, studies have increasing captured the heterogeneity within the ageing process. In this context, the concept of "biological age" has been introduced as an integrated measure reflecting the individualized ageing pace. Identifying reliable and robust biomarkers of age is critical for the accurate risk stratification of individuals and exploration into antiageing interventions. Numerous potential biomarkers of ageing have been proposed, spanning from molecular changes and imaging characteristics to clinical phenotypes. In this review, we will start off with a discussion of the development of ageing biomarkers, then we will provide a comprehensive summary of currently identified ageing biomarkers in humans, discuss the rationale behind each biomarker and highlight their accuracy and clinical value with a contemporary perspective. A estimativa de idade é um processo fundamental em Ciências Forenses. Diferentes métodos de avaliação da idade dentária foram desenvolvidos para estimar a idade cronológica de indivíduos vivos e mortos, incluindo o emprego de imagens 3D obtidas a partir de exames de tomografia computadorizada de feixe cônico (TCFC). O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar por meio de uma revisão de literatura, o emprego da TCFC na estimativa de idade. Para tanto, foram utilizados artigos científicos completos publicados em revistas nacionais e internacionais. A TCFC mostrou-se efetiva durante a estimativa de idade, em análises de dentes e ossos. No entanto, a idade cronológica, o nível de desenvolvimento dentário, bem como os diferentes grupos de dentes parecem influenciar as análises, determinado maior ou menor nível de confiabilidade na presunção da idade. Os exames de TCFC constituem uma excelente alternativa para análise dos tecidos dentário e ósseo, contribuindo significativamente para estimativa de idade.

The inward displacement perpendicular to body surface produced by external pressure is an important index to evaluate pressure comfort and optimal design of tight clothing products. Because of the limited pressure exerted on the human body after wearing compression clothing, the corresponding displacement is generally small, and it is difficult to obtain an accurate displacement value of the human body using general methods. In this paper, we focused on the functional relationship between pressure and displacement when the human body was in the walking state after dressing in elastic pantyhose, and then the displacement data could be easily obtained using this method. Through computerized tomography scanning, establishing of the waist cross-section, finite element simulation, and curve fitting, we finally obtained the functional relationship between the pressure/displacement ratio and angle when the body is dressed in four sample elastic pantyhose during the walking process in this study. In the formula, pressure data can be easily obtained through the pressure experiment, and the corresponding displacement value at any point of the human body can be calculated using the quadratic fitting curve equation. Results indicated that no matter what state the human body was in (static or dynamic) after wearing elastic pantyhose, the relationship between pressure and displacement at the corresponding point remains basically unchanged. That is to say, the relationship between pressure and displacement was basically not affected by the state of the human body when dressed in a tight garment. The conclusions provide an important reference for evaluating pressure comfort and optimizing clothing structure. This method is also applicable to other types of compression clothing.
