Kolorektal kanserler Amerika Birleflik Devletlerinde 3. en s›k kanser nedeni ve kanserden en s›k 2. ölüm nedenidir. Kolorektal kanserlerin tarama yön-temleri ile erken evrede saptanmas›, kolorektal kanserlere ba¤l› mortalite oran›n› düflürmektedir. Kolorektal kanser taramas›nda gaitada gizli kan testi, çift kontrastl› kolon grafisi, sigmoidoskopi, kolonoskopi gibi pek çok yöntem kullan›lmakla birlikte, hiçbiri ideal de¤ildir ve ayr›ca pahal›, invaziv ve kolay tolere edilebilen teknikler de¤illerdir. Bilgisayarl› tomografik kolonografi ve sanal kolonoskopi kolorektal kanserler taramas›nda primer, noninvaziv inceleme tekni¤i olma konusunda umut vaat etmektedir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Kolonoskopi, kolonografi, sanal, bilgisayarl› tomografi Colorectal cancers are the 3 rd most common type of cancer and 2 nd leading cause of cancer death in the United States. Colorectal cancer screening, detects colorectal cancers at an earlier stage, reduces colorectal cancer mortality. Although a variety of colon screening tests such as fecal occult blood testing, double-contrast barium enema, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy are available, none is ideal and also they are expensive, invasive and not easily tolerable techniques. Virtual colonoscopy and computed tomographic colonography are promising to be the primary, non-invasive method of screening of colorectal cancers. Key words: Colonoscopy, colonography, virtual, computed tomography G‹R‹fiKolorektal kanserler geliflmifl ülkelerde giderek artan morbidite ve mortaliteye neden olan, iki cinste de 3. en s›k kanserden ölüm nedeni olup s›kl›kla 40-79 yafllar› aras›nda görülür (1). Kolorektal kanserlerin büyük bölümü benign adenomatöz polip zemininde yavafl seyirli geliflir. Hastal›¤›n do¤al seyrinin uzun olmas› nedeniyle kolorektal neoplazilerin tarama yöntemleri ile olgular›n erken tan›s›, mortalite ve morbiditenin azalt›lmas›nda önem tafl›r. Erken tan› ile kolorektal neoplazilerin mortalite oran› y›lda yaklafl›k 1.8 oran›nda azal›rken, 5 y›ll›k sa¤ kal›m oran› %90'n›n üzerine ç›kabilmektedir. Ancak bugüne kadar kolorektal neoplazilerin taramas›nda yararlan›lan rektal muayene, gaitada gizli kan testi, çift kontrast kolon incelemesi, kolonoskopi gibi yöntemlerden hiçbiri tam anlam›yla ihtiyaca cevap vermemekte, ayn› zamanda bu yön-temler genellikle invaziv, pahal› ve zor oldu¤undan olgular taraf›ndan kabul edilmeyebilmektedir. Genel popülasyonun kolorektal kanser aç›s›ndan daha etkin taranabilmesi için daha duyarl› yöntemler gerekmektedir. Amerikan Kanser Derne¤i tarama amac›yla kolonun tamam›n›n görüntülenebildi¤i yöntemleri tercih etmektedir. Multislice computed tomography angiography (CTA) has been found feasible for the evaluation of visceral vasculature. The development of multislice technology has overcome past limitations. First, the faster scanning speed increases volume coverage during a single breath-hold and improves the exploitation of contrast medium. Second, the better spatial resolution results in nearly isotropic voxels allowing reconstruction of high-resolution threedimensional images with different algorithms. Volume rendering is capable of displaying the visceral vasculature from any external vantage point. Compared to conventional angiography, CTA not only delineates vessels but also depicts the anatomical relationship to adjacent structures and allows the evaluation of perfused organs. CTA also has become an emerging tool for the pre-and postinterventional assessment of vascular anatomy. The purpose of this pictorial essay is to present a spectrum of visceral vascular diseases and interventional and surgical therapies, and to highlight the role of postprocessing for their evaluation.
