Abstract:Pentacyclic triterpenoids, recognized for their natural bioactivity, display complex spatiotemporal accumulation patterns within the ecological model plant, Nicotiana attenuata. Despite their ecological significance, the underlying biosynthetic enzymes and functional attributes of triterpenoid synthesis in N. attenuata remain unexplored.
