“…Comparing between reinforced and non-reinforced alumina fi ller in PMMA, the abrasive process might be interrupted by the alumina fi ller reinforcement in the PMMA, which resulting in reduction of wear in the resin matrix. The less volume loss shown in silanized alumina groups supported the previous studies which suggested that the addition of fi ller particles to the material can improve its wear resistance only if the particles are wellbonded to the resin matrix 22,23) . From the result of this present study, it might suggest that monolayer of silane is adequate for improving the fl exural properties and wear resistance of alumina fi ller reinforced PMMA.…”

“…[1][2][3] Adhesive cements are also said to improve the integrity of the restorative space, allowing for a more effective stress transfer from the restoration into the supporting tooth. [4][5] Consequently, poorly polymerized luting agents fail to establish a tooth-restoration unit, increasing the chance for restoration and cuspal fracture.…”

“…Com isso, a partícula de carga inorgânica é coberta por várias moléculas de silano, tornando a interface complexa 38 . Já o grupo metacrilato (C=C) forma ligação covalente com a matriz orgânica, finalizando o processo de união 39,40 .…”
