Thoughtless Intelligence

Abstract: This is a commentary on G. Gigerenzer's "How to stay smart in a smart world." It follows up on a review of his book and Gigerenzer's reply to it. The central issue is whether AI may not only succeed in replicating (and surpassing) human performance but also whether it may attain a similarity in kind; that is is in what it is and not only in what it does.
