Abstract: Glutathione-S-transferase (GST) is a family of enzymes involved in the detoxification of toxic and carcinogenic compounds. In the present study, the effect of thioacetamide (TA), a hepatotoxic and hepatocarcinogenic compound, on the activity and expression of GST of Wistar female rats was tested.
