“…However, the yield is relatively low (<10%), which is likely due to the relative inert reactivity of amino groups. “…In order to improve the reactivity of amino groups in MnMo 6 -NH 2 , a Schiff base reaction was used to modify the MnMo 6 cluster with terminal phenolic hydroxyl groups, which shows higher reactivity toward HCCP. [27] The synthesis of monomer MnMo 6 -PhOH is very straightforward: refluxing excess amount of p-hydroxybenzaldehyde and MnMo 6 -NH 2 in anhydrous acetonitrile catalyzed by activated 4 Å molecular sieves, followed by centrifugation and washing with ethanol ( Figure S4, Supporting Information). As shown in Figure 1A, the presence of aromatic signals at 6.89 and 7.52 ppm, as well as the phenol proton peak at 9.98 ppm and the Schiff base proton at 8.85 ppm, indicated the successful condensation between p-hydroxybenzaldehyde and the amino groups.…”

“…Because of their outstanding properties, different structures of organocyclotriphosphazenes: cyclolinear [6], cyclomatrix [7], and a cyclotriphosphazene core [8] were used to enhance the thermal and fire retardant properties of polymers such as polyurethane [9], poly(ethylene terephthalate) [10], poly(methyl methacrylate) [11], Nylon 6 [12], and epoxy resins [13].…”

“…Hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene (HCCP) is an inorganic‐organic hybrid molecule with six active chlorine atoms, which endow its versatility to be the core in the synthesis of functional star‐shaped compounds/polymers, because covalent linkages can be easily formed between nucleophiles and phosphorus atoms with chloride as the leaving group . The chemical incorporation of cyclotriphosphazene units may invariably ensure the composites excellent rigidity owing to the extraordinary ring structure composed of alternating phosphorus and nitrogen atoms .…”
