Abstract: This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the synthesis and photophysical properties of thiazolidine-functionalized chiral ionic liquids (CILs) derived from L-cysteine. The synthesis involves a four-step route, encompassing N-protection, coupling reactions with bromoalcohols, and ionic liquid formation.
