Abstract:Filamentous fungi have been investigated as producer of xylanases with relevant characteristics for application in different industrial sectors, such as bakery, beverage, biofuel, textile, animal feed, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper. Thus, this review will focus on biochemical properties and industrial use of thermostable xylanases produced by different filamentous fungi, as well as mechanisms of adaptation of thermophilic organisms to tolerate in high-temperature environments. These enzymatic properties of th… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
