ThermoML—An XML-Based Approach for Storage and Exchange of Experimental and Critically Evaluated Thermophysical and Thermochemical Property Data. 4. Biomaterials

Abstract: ThermoML is an extensible markup language (XML)-based approach for storage and exchange of experimental and critically evaluated thermophysical and thermochemical property data. Extensions to the ThermoML schema for the representation of properties of biomaterials are described. The texts of several data files illustrating the new extensions are provided as Supporting Information together with the complete text of the updated ThermoML schema.

“…Based on the procedure described above and using a coverage factor of k = 2 [25], while assuming the corresponding standard uncertainties given previously have a normal distribution [25], the expanded uncertainty, U x , on the mole fraction of carbon dioxide and methane in the bulk liquid phase was estimated to vary between 6.5 × 10 −4 and 8.8 × 10 −4 , and between 1.2 × 10 −4 and 1.3 × 10 −4 respectively, depending on the experimental conditions.…”

“…High pressure phase behavior data for the propoxylated neopentyl glycol diacrylate in supercritical carbon dioxide was measured, and the experimental uncertainty was estimated to be ±0.02 MPa and ±0.12 K for a given loading of the cell [15,16]. The combined expanded uncertainties of propoxylated neopentyl glycol diacrylate mole fractions were estimated to be ±0.0008 [17].…”

“…In this study, experimental uncertainty was evaluated as per the National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST) protocols [4]. Few experiments were performed in triplicate and the reliability of replicated experiments was found within ± 2% having confidence interval 95%.…”
