Thermoluminescence glow curve for UV induced ZrO2:Ti phosphor with variable concentration of dopant and various heating rate

Abstract: supposedly replaces the Zr 4þ sites. The traps and the glow curve structure are also dependent upon the morphology of the surface area which in turn depends on the nanocrystallite size. The nanocrystallite size depends also on the dopant ion. Furthermore, the obtained experimental results show that the presence of dopant ions also modifies the TL recombination efficiency which was found to be different for each irradiation type and the specific exposed material. It is important to notice that using the right d… Show more

“…Ultrafine zirconia (ZrO 2 ) particles or nano particles have been reported to have unique properties such as excellent refractoriness and chemical resistance, good mechanical strength, high ionic conductivity, low thermal conductivity at high temperature to get her with relatively high thermal expansion coefficient high refractive index, low phonon energy, high chemical and good thermal stability (Conga et al, 2007;Emeline et al, 1998;Ghosh & Patra, 2006;Meetei et al, 2012;Smits et al, 2010;Tamrakar, Bisen, Upadhyay and Tiwari, 2014;Tiwari, Kuraria, & Tamrakar, 2014;Xu et al, 2008), because of all these reasons Zirconia is an attractive material in both fundamental and application-oriented research. Red light emission from (600e630 nm) Eu 3þ doped phosphors are extensively used in lamp and display applications.…”

“…Special attention has been paid to the development of materials for TL dosimetry. Number of scientists have standardized many materials for TL dosimetry and investigated in detail the fact that if luminescent material satisfies certain minimum requirements (dosimetric properties), they can be used in radiation dose estimation in TLD (Dubey et al 2013;Tamrakar & Bisen, 2013;Tiwari, Kuraria, & Tamrakar, 2014). …”

“…ZrO 2 nanophosphor is a good example where TL spectroscopy was successfully applied to study its properties [30]. Different concentrations of titanium were used as dopants to study TL behavior of ZrO 2 nanophosphors [32]. Samples were exposed to 254 nm UV for variable times in order to study the effect of time exposure and dose on TL intensity.…”
