Abstract:Shape-memory effect is based on martensitic transformation, which is a solid state phase transformation and govern the remarkable changes in internal crystalline structure of materials. Shape memory alloys can exhibit another property called pseudoelasticity (PE), which is performed in only mechanical manner in the parent austenite phase region. Shape Memory Effect (SME) is performed thermally in a temperature interval and this behaviour is called thermoelasticity. Pseudoelasticity is performed by stressing th… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
