Thermodynamic Study of Poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) in Water/Dimethyl Sulfoxide Solutions by Viscometry

Abstract: In this work, the intrinsic viscosities of poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) with a molar mass of 58 kg·mol −1 were measured in water-dimethyl sulfoxide solutions at temperatures from (298.15 to 318.15) K. The expansion factors of the polymer chains were calculated from the intrinsic viscosity data.
