“…In this communication the results we obtained in the synthesis of CeS by electron beam irradiation are shown. Our research group possesses a solid expertise in the synthesis of ceramic and intermetallic compounds by electron beam‐based processes . For the synthesis of CeS we adopted an approach that avoids the use of highly reactive and/or toxic precursors such as Ce metal, CeH 2 , CS 2 and H 2 S, that require dry‐box manipulation or other special precautions to be manipulated and specific reactors to perform the synthesis .…”
