Abstract:Triple organic Rankine cycle (TORC) is gradually gaining interest, but the maximum thermal efficiencies (around 30%) are restricted by low critical temperatures of common working fluids (<320 °C). This paper proposes a high-temperature (up to 400 °C) TORC system to ramp up efficiency.
