Thermochemical study of gaseous salts of oxygen-containing acids: XX. Germanium salts

Abstract: Reactions of the gas-phase synthesis of germanium vanadate, borate, and molybdate have been studied. Standard enthalpies of formation and atomization of gaseous salts GeV 2 O 6 , GeB 2 O 4 , and SnMo 2 O 7 have been determined.

“…The other major channel to produce free molecules is evaporation of the intact native molecules from the melted/heated sample. In the latter case thermodynamic equilibrium studies [13,14,16] would matter and the heavier 4-atomic CaBO 2 could be more probable than CaBO*. Thus one of the probable molecular species present in danburite and datolite LIP is the CaBO 2 + molecule.…”

“…In the gas‐phase synthesis of gaseous salts, GeO exhibits amphoteric properties, acting as both a cation‐ and an anion‐forming oxide. The existence of gaseous BaGeO 2 , GePO 3 , GeWO 3 , GeWO 4 , GeW 2 O 7 , GeMoO 3 , GeMoO 4 , GeMo 2 O 7 , GeB 2 O 4 and GeNbO 3 is known.…”
