The thermally stimulated currents, TSC, of β‐metal free phthalocyaninc single crystals are investigated over the temperature range 200 to 340K, a t a reduced pressure of 10−6Torr. A kinetic model based on the band theory is proposed which enables the monomolecular form of TSC peaks to be understood. The TSC curves are analysed by different methods including those taking into account the retrapping. Only one electron trap level is obtained at a depth (0.37 ± 0.04) eV below the conduction band edge with a density of (4 ± 2) × 1022m−3.
