Abstract:A series of tellurite‐based glasses are prepared by using a melt‐quenching method. The effect of cerium on the physical, thermal, structural, optical, spectroscopic, and shielding properties of barium tellurite glass samples is studied. It has been observed that the thermal stability factor increases with increasing cerium ion (Ce3+) concentration. The density and other physical parameters such as ion concentration and molar volume are calculated using the Archimedes principle. An increase in optical band gap … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
