“…From the aforementioned reports, the HEA nitride films and coatings have attracted an increasing number of attentions due to their high hardness, high wear resistance, and excellent corrosion resistance. Especially, the superhigh hardness ( ≥ 40 GPa) has been achieved in several HEA nitride film systems [42,43,128], making the HEA nitride becomes an alternative of superhard material.
