Abstract:Certain short-period Si/Ge superlattices containing biatomic sheets of Si have been proposed as candidates for light-emitting Si-based structures. The thermal stability of biatomic sheets of Si i n such structures is thus of Interest and has been investigated here using the way in which their distinctive double-peaked lines in the Raman spectrum changes with annealing. The Raman data obtained were correlated with the results of an electron microscopical examination of the annealed samples which further demonst… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
