This research shows the comparative analysis between the solar heater and the heat exchanger efficiency. This is used for water heating in this project to show the use of this for residential purposes. The efficiency of these two is calculated in this project which helps to know the efficiency of each model in the water heating purpose. In this research process, a suitable set of comparisons has been drawn between the heat exchanger and water heater that have been worked on based on the effective solar energy. Effective energy usage provides a suitable beneficial impact in Favor of using this residential water heating system of heat exchangers. Detailed information has been represented in the background sections along with rationale aspects where the issues along with their remedies have been depicted.

India has an abundance of solar energy resources. Nearly 90% of the urban dwellers in different parts of India used electricity for heating water. Using electricity for resident water heating not only contributes to negative environment impact via the emission of a substantial quantity of carbon dioxide but also places a financial burden on households. The examination of solar irradiance, economic feasibility, and hot water demands is crucial in assessing the potential of solar thermal collector (STC) to fulfill hot water requirement. In order to enhance the value of the STC, it is essential for the collector to effectively manage operations with a focus on minimizing cost. To get an optimal heating effect, the present STC is fastened with an obstruction inside the tube. The collector is examined in three distinct seasons to observe temperature variations and the appropriate use of the device during non-operational hours. The recommended average temperatures for summer, rainy season, and winter are 68, 57, and 47 °C, respectively. Additionally, a thorough examination of the economic analysis and payback period for STC was also conducted.

Background Solar water heating is a highly sustainable method of extracting thermal energy from the sun for domestic and industrial use. In residential buildings, thermal energy from a Solar Water Heater (SWH) can be used to heat spaces, shower, clean, or cook, either alone or in combination with conventional heating systems such as electricity- and fossil-fuel-based heaters. In the industrial sector, SWHs can be used in various high-temperature fluid processes, including chemical processing, manufacturing, power generation, and construction. Despite the technological advancements in water heating systems, there are still some significant technical and economic challenges that limit their widespread adoption and commercialization. Despite their potential to revolutionize the industry, these systems remain in the shadows of unsustainable water heating solutions. Main body of the abstract This paper reviews recent selected publications on the technical and techno-economic aspects of solar water heating technology. The discussions include the effects of some parameters and components on the overall thermal efficiency of the SWHs as well as the techno-economic prospects of the technology. In addition, the paper provides the existing research gaps and recommendations for future research directions. Short conclusion The present review paper is unique because it condenses the recent studies carried out on both the technical and techno-economic aspects of the SWHs. It provides a comprehensive framework for interested readers and researchers to gain insights into the technical and economic status of SWHs. However, it is not an exhaustive study. The information presented can aid researchers in conducting further research on the subject, as well as understanding the future of SWHs.
