Thermal Management of Solar Photovoltaic Cell by Using Single Walled Carbon Nanotube (SWCNT)/Water: Numerical Simulation and Sensitivity Analysis

Abstract: Despite the attractiveness of Photovoltaic (PV) cells for electrification and supplying power in term of environmental criteria and fuel saving, their efficiency is relatively low and is further decreased by temperature increment, as a consequence of absorption of solar radiation. In order to prevent efficiency degradation of solar cells due to temperature increment, thermal management is suggested. Active cooling of solar cells with use of liquid flow is one of the most conventional techniques used in recent … Show more

“…As a result, the utilization of environmentally friendly and renewable energy sources (RESs) can be a suitable alternative to the utilization of fossil fuels. [6]. These resources are replenishable, and in addition, they do not produce any pollution; as a result, they contribute to the conservation of the environment [7,8].…”

“…Excessive magnetic flux results in the agglomeration of particles. Sharifpur et al (2022) used a single-walled carbon nanotube–water nanofluid to enhance the cooling effect on photovoltaic. They obtained 49.2%–49.4% efficiency of the cell.…”

“…Providing the required energy with oil and other fossil fuels has caused adverse environmental consequences, especially damage to the climate, land, and wildlife. Due to the shortage in fossil fuel sources, the change in their cost, and environmental problems, cleaner energy technologies utilizing renewable energy sources such as wind and solar have been developed recently [4,5]. According to the literature, solar energy is a clean, renewable, and endless resource that helps preserve valuable natural resources such as oil and gas for future generations.…”
