“…This paper gives a short review of results of the non-relativistic and relativistic band calculations on tungsten in the BCC structure. The non-relativistic surface consists of four different sheets (Lomer 1962,1964, Loucks 1965, Mattheiss 1965. Their main parts are described as an electron 'jack' centred at I' and hole 'octahedra' at the symmetry point H. The others are smaller pieces; electron 'lenses' along A , and hole ellipsoids at N. The relativistic APW band calculation was originally carried out by Loucks (1966).…”
