Thermal conductivity of germanium containing dislocations at low temperatures

Abstract

To study the frequency dependence of the phonon-dislocation scattering, the phonon conductivity of germanium with dislocations is analysed using Holland's model and Kumar and Sinha's relaxation time for the phonon-dislocation scattering processes. A reasonably good agreement is observed between present theory and experimental data of Sato and Sumino.Zur Untersuchung der Frequenzabliangigkeit der Phononen-Versetzungsstreuung wird die Phononenleitfahigkeit von versetzungsbehaftetem Germanium analysiert, wobei das Hollandsche Model1 und die Relaxationszeit von Kumar und Sinha fur den Phonon-Versetzungs-StreuprozeR benutzt werden. Die vorgelegte Theorie stimmt mit den experimentellen Werten von Sat0 und Sumino gut iiberein.
