Abstract:Abstract.A review of the thermal properties of chemical-vapor-deposited (CVD) diamond ranging in thickness from 0.5 Fm to 0.5 mm is presented. The typical columnar microstructure of the material has a strong influence on the thermal properties, causing a steep gradient in both the in-plane (5,) and normal (K,) conductivities, as well as considerable anisotropy. Data for 5, from above room temperature down to liquid helium temperatures for high-quality thick samples has revealed several types of phonon scatteri… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
