Thermal conductivity analysis of two-dimensional complex plasma liquids and crystals

Abstract: A novel homogeneous perturbed non-equilibrium molecular dynamics (HPMD) scheme, proposed by Evan-Gillan, has been employed to calculate the thermal conductivity of two-dimensional (2D) complex plasma liquids and crystals (CPLCs). The thermal conductivity has been reported using an improved HPMD method under the influence of constant external perturbation with different system sizes (N) and combinations of plasma parameters (Γ, κ). The current HPMD scheme provides precise outcomes with fast convergence for smal… Show more

“…Nowadays, the art of MD simulations has become a common computational tool employed to investigate physical properties in various areas of science and technology. The MD simulations follow the equation of motion for the spherical particle systems [2][3][4][5][6]. We have used MD simulations code [42] to calculate the self-diffusion coe cients (D) with Einstein relation.…”

“…Mostly dust grain has a negative charge due to the high mobility of electrons. The Yukawa (screened Coulomb) potential is used to calculate the interaction between dust grains that are produced by the shielding effects of free ions and electrons in the plasma [1][2][3][4][5][6]. The minimal charge-to-mass ratio of dust grains establishes that these particles are coupled and arranged themselves the same as an atom in the liquid and solid-like phases [1].…”

“…One such strategy is to develop new therapeutic materials based on dusty plasma that are more effective. Regulation with approval became a significant issue in modern technology [11]. Yet similar interests are present in plasma fusion, and it can be productive radiotoxic dust in plasma-wall reactions.…”
