Thermal Analysis Kinetics for Understanding Materials Behavior

Abstract

All materials respond to temperature. They also exist and function within limited timeframes.The science of kinetics combines time and temperature into a single framework that allows one to understand the thermal behavior of materials. This book provides a collection of papers dealing with the kinetic analysis of data obtained by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The papers are, collectively, very diverse in their content. Some provide general overviews of the kinetic approaches while other focus on advanced applications of the kinetic techniques to specific materials. However, they all adequately reflect the current state of affairs in the modern kinetics of thermally stimulated processes.
